Passport Through Time
October 22, 2011

On Saturday, October 22nd, 2011, the Historic Highway 80 Corporation held their 6th annual "Passport Through Time" road rally, starting at Simpson's Nursery in Campo and traveling along Historic Hwy 94 to Historic Highway 80 to the destination at the Downtown Cafe in El Cajon.

Almost 200 participants joined the ride on a perfect San Diego County day, enjoying the beauty of "San Diego's Backyard's Backyard" and making friends at ten pit stops along the route at businesses along the highway.
The party at the destination included a special Mexican buffet provided by our hosts at the Downtown Cafe, raffle prizes for participants, and a silent auction, as the proceeds from this event help to support our educational and historical activities.
We are especially grateful to our event sponsors SDG&E and Sycuan Resort and Casino for enabling us to mount this showcase of our East County treasures. Keep watch on this website
for information regarding the 7th annual rally to take place in October of 2012, when we plan to end our rally in La Mesa Village as a part of the Celebration of La Mesa's 100th Anniversary. Be sure to join the fun.
